Overview

Stainless steel wire drawing plates have various surface textures, commonly referred to as brushed finishes. These textures include straight lines, random patterns, corrugations, and threads. Each type provides a unique aesthetic and functional quality.

Types of Surface Textures

  1. Brushed Straight Grain
    • Achieved through mechanical friction to create straight lines.
    • Helps eliminate surface scratches and enhances decorative appeal.
    • Available in long and short thread textures, created using a scouring pad or stainless steel brush.
    • Different thicknesses can be achieved by changing the brush diameter.
  2. Brushed Random Patterns (Harmony Patterns)
    • Features circular sand patterns that appear random and irregular up close.
    • Created by the irregular movement of the grinding head, followed by electroplating and coloring.
    • Produces a matte surface with high production standards.
  3. Brushed Corrugation
    • Made by using axial movement of grinding rollers on a brushing or graining machine.
    • Results in a wavy pattern on the stainless steel surface.
  4. Brushed Thread
    • Uses a small motor with a round felt installed on the shaft, set at a 60° angle.
    • The stainless steel plate is fixed on a carriage with a polyester film to regulate thread speed.
    • Produces uniform thread patterns through the rotation and linear movement of the felt.
