Overview

Alloy 410S (UNS S41008) is a modification of Alloy 410 (UNS S41000), a 12% chromium martensitic stainless steel. It features low carbon content and does not harden upon cooling, unlike Alloy 410.

• Low Carbon Content: Minimizes austenite formation at high temperatures, preventing hardening.
• Ductility: Remains soft and ductile even when rapidly cooled, reducing the risk of cracking during exposure to high temperatures or welding.
• Ferritic Structure: Completely ferritic in the annealed condition.
• Corrosion and Oxidation Resistance: Exhibits adequate corrosion resistance similar to Alloy 410 and good oxidation resistance.
